A really wonderful work of art, this necklace has a sizable 9ct rolo link chain that has been embellished with fifteen watch and key fobs, as well as a 14ct dog clip. One could see this as an academic study of 19th century watch accessories, featuring pieces of various origins from England to France to Switzerland, ranging from the Georgian, Regency, and Victorian periods. Notable watch key examples include bloodstone, carnelian, and sardonyx specimens, while others boast meticulous hand-etched detail and subtle gold color variation. A particularly special example is the small scale Swiss key, which features blue, white, and black enamel. And our favorite, the Georgian trumpet key, which forms the centerpiece of the chain at an impressive 2 inch scale, entirely hand rendered with plume and paisley designs. Overall, a jaw-dropping example.
