My favorite thing about these gorgeous early 20th century amethyst double trinity earrings is the interplay of bezel-set round cuts and bezel-set pear cuts. I would say that these are probably based on the 17th century girandole design, which remained very popular throughout the 18th, 19th, and into the 20th centuries. What really makes this pair a standout is the color of the amethyst: they are an incredibly saturated Rose de France purple with a delightful undertone of pink, which is very desirable in this form of amethyst specimen. These earrings have aged very gracefully and would make a beautiful addition to any collection as they playfully dangle from the ear and frame the face.
