What I love so much about this gorgeous late Deco carved plaque jade example is the vibrance of the gold. This was likely made in America in classic chinoiserie style, so it looks very much like a Chinese export piece even though it is domestically made. What’s so cool about this ring is you’ll notice some Art Nouveau influence on the shoulders, with the scrolling clouds that suspend the beautiful apple jade plaque. The jade itself is wonderfully carved with four piercings and overall beautiful rendering utilizing line work emulating flowers. This would be a great addition for anyone who is looking for that spring pop of color paired with the delicious glow of the 14ct yellow gold.
