This unbelievable 14ct opal and diamond cocktail ring is one of my favorite pieces that we’ve brought in in a very long time. Sleek and sexy, the shoulders are playing geometry peek-a-boo with you with its staircase-like construction. This museum quality example highlights the transition from the brutalist to geometric shapes that really were the hallmark of jewelry architecture at the time. As you look at this ring and rotate it you will see a total shift in the color of gold, simply because of how it’s been constructed with gold slats that form this amazing staircase. Crowned with a central navette fiery opal sitting in 14ct white gold setting, this ring is just perfect, especially for the vintage jewelry lover.
