A gorgeous 14ct Victorian swivel fob depicting a distinguished military man sporting a golden cap with a superlative handlebar moustache in profile. The gentleman wears a military jacket and is carved under a horseshoe of luck. Perhaps made as a souvenir before a tour overseas with his regiment, beautifully suspended in a “Orientalist” style setting, this fob stands out among the Victorian intaglio jewels we’ve handled, as a rare example of contemporary portraiture accented in gold.
