What’s so cool about these amazing 1960’s opal earrings is the geometry; the way that the stones have been set are quite effortless, and that’s what I love about them the most. With a beautiful 14ct setting, these earrings were part of a 1960’s and 1970’s resurgence of Victorian themes motifs. What was really the hallmark of the 1960’s and 1790’s revival jewelry was the love of Victorian style quilt patterns, and these earrings show a true eye toward that revival while also a nod to Baroque “over the top” maximalism. I love these and I think they are going to make a great addition to any jewelry wardrobe, especially for someone who is looking to adopt jewelry from a period that looks back on a past era.
