This glowing 15ct locket ring is a wonderful mid 19th century example, featuring flora and fauna, appreciating Victorian sentiment. With a secret compartment, and the hidden messages communicated by the language of flowers referenced within (stylized grape leaves, forget-me-nots, oh my!) this ring holds many mysteries for her new owner to recall. A perfect example of the English Aesthetic Movement, perhaps from the 1850’s, before aestheticism had reached its height.
