This is an immaculate and once in a lifetime Georgian ring. I’ve never had anything like this: it’s a beautiful garnet paste intaglio, and while we can’t identify exactly who it is, it’s likely of an emperor as he is wearing a laurel wreath. The carving might actually be Roman period with later added facets. The way that the bezel is set around the ring is really amazing, and the gorgeous rose cut diamonds add such a charm to the piece. This is the one everyone has been waiting for, and I know it will go soon.
