A superb Art Nouveau English double diamond bypass ring set in 18ct with a posh platinum crown setting on the diamonds, we are certain that this ring will not be here long. Perhaps the most sought after diamond design, the bypass ring was infamously selected by Napoleon for his engagement to Josephine, thus immortalizing the popularity of the style in 19th century jewelry. This example truly stands out with a contrasting pair of old European cut diamonds, one at just half a carat, and the other boasting .60 carats. The diamonds not only contrast in weight, but also in style of cut. The smaller boasts a cut culet while the larger is cut more akin to the transitional period, with knifelike facets that harken to the brilliant cut diamonds of the early 20th century. Perhaps constructed of heirloom diamonds, we are very excited to offer this Art Nouveau jewel as a wardrobe staple that can be paired with any jewelry ensemble.
