This beautiful English hallmarked jade ring is wonderfully set with these “arrowhead” prongs. A wonderful Arts and Crafts movement ring, this very comfortable closed-back jade example fits the finger wonderfully with that sensual 18ct glow. Circa 1890, this is a very prime example of English hallmarked Arts and Crafts jewelry. Though the shoulders are subtle, there is a beautiful sharpness to the claw prongs, which creates a dynamic interaction with the beautiful organic appliqué on the shoulders. A very sharp piece, I am certain that this beautiful example will be at home in any collection.
