This wonderful bloodstone signet ring firstly features the ribboned Latin word “spero,” which symbolizes hope. Below this inscription is a fantastic griffin with her wings spread as though she is ready to take flight from the ground. This early 19th century bloodstone ring has been beautifully hallmarked and includes a hefty shank, is classic of the 1820’s to 1830’s, and its condition is outstanding. Double pin set, there is an element of articulation to this beautiful octagonal signet ring. Expertly built to fit the finger with even a little bit of bowing to the reverse of the bloodstone, this amazing and comfortable signet ring will be worn, stacked, and used to create wonderful jewelry looks for whoever is its next caretaker.
