This most wonderful wine colored, juicy red garnet cabochon pendant features a central foil set red garnet and is crowned with a wonderful six pointed star, which is inset with a rose cut diamond. One of the Etruscan Revival motifs that we find on this pendant include the beautiful boules that decorate the outside lip of the medallion setting. It also has an articulated “beard” which refers to the beautiful chain tassels, which are each individually finial set at the bottom. The back of the pendant is so wonderful, it is smooth and lays flat as it is worn, and it is being sold on this gorgeous Victorian rope chain that includes a barrel clasp. Everything about this piece is top notch and top quality. This piece will be a wonderful addition to any collection for someone who is looking for a truly exceptional pendant example from the late 1870’s-1880’s.
