This utterly mesmerizing Art Deco fire opal in her immaculately posh platinum setting is paired with two elongated step cut diamonds that sit atop a fairytale gallery. The undercarriage of the opal is constructed of striking hand pierced rectangles, underscoring the Deco architecture of the ring. The singular striking fire opal, perhaps of Queretaro origin, exhibits an unparalleled play of color; unfolding across a translucent orange ground one finds sprawling clouds of neon green, peacock blue, electric crimson, and ultraviolet. I have never had the pleasure of handling a fire opal of this caliber before and I am very excited to place it in its new home.
