A wonderful mid 18th century slide pendant, this delicate foiled paste example features a large sunflower flanked by sweet pansies connected by a flowing garland. All individually set and mostly cushion cut, these paste stones boast that twinkling antique brilliance that 18th century jewels are known for. Perhaps originally worn on a black velvet ribbon around the neck or wrist, this precious piece would have glimmered by candlelight at evening affairs in England, where it was likely produced.
