One of the most remarkable jewels we've had the pleasure to bring to market, this seed pearl parure, mint in the original box from 1820 is a sight to behold. Historically, seed pearl parures were given as gifts to young brides on the occasion of their weddings, and I am certain that this set served just that purpose. With assayed 15ct clasps throughout, and sumptuous pearls of varying sizes (.30mm to 6mm) I've never seen so immaculate a pearl necklace mint in box, all of the additional pieces we require to call a set a full parure.

The original box, furthermore, is extremely special, with brass closures that lock and set, to ensure privacy when not in use, as well as a hidden compartment under the jewels for letters or correspondence from our bride's betrothed/dear friends. This piece truly is fit for a duchess!

I've included images of two parures in institutional collections-- firstly, the Noyes Parure from the Cooper Hewitt collection, dated 1830, and then the Mary Lucile Stevenson Parure circa 1837. I am confident that this parure predates both of the examples pictued due to the fineness of the clasp and the box. Truly a one of a a kind piece!
